This dashboard tracks receipt and expenditures of funds from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund by Utah's local governments. All 29 Utah counties and 16 metropolitan cities received payment directly from the U.S. Department of the Treasury (Treasury). For local governments serving populations less than 50,000, the Treasury sent payment to the State and required that the State distribute those funds to those local governments. Each local government in Utah that received payment of these funds, regardless of who distributed the funds, is a prime recipient of the Treasury and is required to report on the expenditure of those funds directly to the Treasury. 50% of each local government's allocation was made available in June 2021 and the remaining 50% of the funds is expected to be made available during the summer of 2022.
Non-entitlement units of local government (NEUs) are local governments typically serving populations of less than 50,000. NEUs received ARPA State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund payments through the Governor's Office of Planning and Budget instead of directly from the Treasury.
